MEP field tools that stay useful after download day.

MasterBuild is preparing a paid monthly library of maintained, Professional Engineer-reviewed workflows for repeat permit, field-observation, coordination, and closeout decisions. Founding-access requests are open. Billing and member access are not active yet, and there is no charge today.

Current status: prelaunch demand and workflow validation. Only tools that clear source, edition, applicability, limitation, test-case, and PE review gates will enter the paid library. A price and checkout link will be published only after secure access, cancellation, tax, support, and fulfillment controls pass.

Built for repeated decisions, not one-time reading

A standalone field guide is a fixed resource for one topic. The membership is intended for owners, architects, engineers, contractors, reviewers, and facilities teams who repeatedly need a faster way to organize evidence, identify missing inputs, document observations, and decide what must be verified next.

Unlike a generic MEP inspection checklist or permit tracker, each workflow begins with the controlling project basis and ends with missing evidence, an accountable next action, and a clear escalation point. It is designed to strengthen the record around a decision—not replace project management software or professional judgment.

Start with project basis

Capture jurisdiction, adopted edition, scope, use, phase, source documents, responsible party, and unresolved assumptions before a technical answer is treated as usable.

Run the right screen

Use a bounded workflow for permit readiness, field observations, duct and exhaust coordination, combustion-air inputs, electrical recertification records, or closeout evidence.

Produce a decision record

Turn checked items and missing evidence into a concise action list that can be copied into a review note, site record, meeting agenda, or request for information.

Escalate the real risk

Separate educational screening from project-specific engineering, adopted-code interpretation, calculations, sealed work, or authority-having-jurisdiction decisions.

First paid release: three bounded workflows

Named-user access is planned to include the current reviewed library, printable or copy-ready outputs, version notes, and support limited to product use. Ventilation, exhaust, duct and shaft coordination, combustion air, and Electrical Building Recertification readiness are later modules—not launch promises—and will be added only after technical QA and user validation.

The membership will not promise a fixed number of new tools each month. Recurring value comes from maintained access, controlled improvements, and a clear source and version trail.

How founding access will work

  1. Request access and tell MasterBuild which repeat decision costs you the most time.
  2. MasterBuild validates the first tool set with a small founding-user group before opening paid access.
  3. Approved members receive the published price, license, billing terms, cancellation path, and exact launch scope before they subscribe.
  4. Paid access opens only after checkout, access control, cancellation, support, and end-to-end delivery testing pass.

Membership boundary

Decision support is not delegated engineering

The tools are educational and organizational. They do not determine compliance, approve a design, replace the adopted code or referenced standards, override manufacturer instructions, direct construction means and methods, or substitute for the responsible design professional or authority having jurisdiction.

No technical threshold goes live without a source trail

Interactive calculations, code thresholds, and project-ready outputs remain withheld until the controlling source, edition, units, assumptions, edge cases, limitations, and test cases are documented and reviewed.

One maintained library, separate professional services

Membership will not include sealed documents, project-specific calculations, site visits, redesign, permit representation, or unlimited PE questions. Those services require a separate written engagement.

Help shape the first paid tool set.

Request founding access and identify the one recurring permit, field, or closeout decision you would most want the library to shorten. This is a prelaunch request, not a purchase.
