Indoor-rated equipment in a washdown room is not 110.11.
Unless identified for the environment, equipment cannot sit in damp or wet locations, gases, fumes, vapors, corrosives, or excessive temperatures. Unused openings must be closed. Do not block natural-airflow cooling. Distinct from Article 100 dry / damp / wet definitions. Sparky Edition #021. This page does not invent 110.26 working-space dimensions.

- 110.11: indoor-only equipment also needs weather protection during construction.
- 110.12: paint, plaster, and debris inside the enclosure are contamination, not a punch-list item.
- 110.13: firmly secured; ventilation openings clear; floor-mounted equipment needs a path for rising warm air.

What to send
Where it sits (roof, washdown, mechanical room), a photo of the enclosure, and whether ventilation openings are clear.
If indoor-rated equipment is in a washdown room
Send where it sits and a photo of the enclosure. Masterbuild will say whether 110.11 still has no environment identification — not whether the AHJ will accept a substitution.
