Duct leakage is not a blower-door test. A sticker on the air handler is not either. Original Masterbuild writing — not a copy of the County mechanical-inspection guideline. County mechanical final looks for duct-leakage testing under the adopted energy code: rough-in or post-construction, with published exceptions. Confirm the adopted edition. We do not publish a leakage class or a pass number here.

- ACH50 is the envelope (CFM50 × 60 ÷ volume). Taping the ducts shut for ACH50 does not test the ducts.
- Duct leakage is the air that never reaches the room. Rough-in or post-construction — pick the method on the energy forms.
- Exceptions exist. They are not “we always skip it on change-outs.” If it is not written on the energy forms, it is not an exception.
- Name the test class and the protocol on the mechanical cover sheet before you upload. A missing class on M-001 is a routine closeout comment.

If the envelope passed and the ducts were never tested
Send the energy path. Masterbuild will say whether the duct row still has no protocol — not whether it will pass.
