Chapter 9 does not build the masonry fireplace.
IMC 902.1: masonry fireplaces must be constructed in accordance with the International Building Code. Masterbuild seals mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. We do not seal masonry fireplace construction. Listed accessories: UL 907, installed per the listing. Daily Code Talk #168.
