Fireplace stoves: UL 737. Solid-fuel room heaters and fireplace inserts: UL 1482. Connecting to a chimney flue serving a fireplace must still comply with 801.7 and 801.10. Hearth extensions follow the stove listing; listed hearths UL 1618. New wood-burning residential hydronic heaters also need EPA certification. Daily Code Talk #171.
