Listed is not installed.
IMC 301: listed is not installed. Standard + edition → cert ID → exact model → manufacturer-instruction page. If any link is missing, expect the redline.
Educational 2024 IMC 301. Confirm adopted edition. This is not an equipment schedule for your project. Packet: 301 PDF · ES.
- 301.1: if it is IMC-regulated equipment, 301 applies. 301.2: economizers, DCV, resets, and VFDs have to actually run — not only appear in a narrative.
- 301.3–301.5: traceable materials. Plastics: NSF 14 certified. Show the standard, edition, and a real cert/report ID.
- 301.6: gas piping, gas appliances, and venting per the IFGC. 301.7–301.9: listed for the application and installed per manufacturer instructions. Nameplate: maker, model/serial, agency mark, key ratings/clearances.
- 301.10–301.11: NFPA 70 for wiring/controls; IPC for potable/drainage. 301.12: correct fuel; conversions/derates only per manufacturer instructions.
- 301.13: spring isolation needs supplemental restraint (snubbers / limit cables). 301.14: repairs preserve the original listing. 301.15–301.18: wind, flood, seismic per IBC — including flood elevations and coastal breakaway walls.
Springs without snubbers
A 60-second sweep on every scheduled item: standard+edition, cert ID, exact model, vent per manufacturer instructions, fuel/altitude, restraint. Missing one link is the comment.

What to send
The equipment schedule and whether isolation, flood, or gas appliances are on the job.
If the schedule is listed but the detail is blank
Send the M-601. MasterBuild will say whether 301 even has a proof chain — or the springs have no snubbers.
