/ For contractors

The PE who answers the RFI should be looking at the same sheet.

When the set cannot be built as drawn, the PE who answers the RFI should be the PE who sealed the sheets — or the PE hired to own the comment. Masterbuild does both, on a written scope.

What to send from the field

Contractor brief

Permit number and jurisdiction; comment letter or RFI; current sheets or a share link; photos of the actual condition (hood termination, damper, mechanical room, panel); which comments you want this PE to own versus the original EOR.

Run first: comment classifier · typical comments · comment response.

Send the comment letter or the RFI

The letter plus the set is enough to start. Masterbuild will say which comments are in scope before anyone prices a resubmittal.

Masterbuild provides engineering services under a written scope. Nothing on this page is project-specific engineering advice, a code interpretation for your project, or a representation about permit approval.
