A 310 note is not an explosion-control design.
IMC 310 is one section that sends the mechanical set to the fire-code explosion-control path. Structures used for explosion hazards need explosion control where the International Fire Code requires it — designed and installed under IFC 911. This is not a standard HVAC note.

- Identify who owns the explosion-control analysis. Mechanical work supports it; it does not replace it.
- Show hazardous rooms and boundaries, exhaust/ventilation basis, equipment classification where applicable, control sequence, and the IFC document reference.
- Coordinate with fire protection and electrical before permit.

Escalate combustible dust, hydrogen, fuel dispensing, flammable liquids, industrial process exhaust, battery/energy-storage, and lab hazards. Life-safety/fire-code coordination — not a solo mechanical decision.

The process/material, occupancy, and any fire-code report. Photos of existing charging or process rooms on a TI.
If the use involves dust, vapor, batteries, or fuel
Send the process and the occupancy. Masterbuild will say whether 310 is even on the path — or the note is hiding an IFC 911 analysis nobody owns.
