/ Hub · Existing buildings · Feasibility

Existing buildings fail at the assumptions, not the finishes.

A record set is evidence of what was permitted, not proof of what is installed. Masterbuild screens HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical condition, capacity, and code exposure before more money moves in the wrong direction.

When this work is the right first move

Field verification, not memory

Useful existing-building files include: equipment that is actually there, penetrations, service size, available routes, access, elevations, and conflicts with architecture. Photos beat a 1998 drawing every time.

What to send

Existing plans if they exist; photographs of mechanical rooms, roofs, and panels; proposed architectural changes; prior permit information; observed field conditions; the decision (buy, renovate, change occupancy, or close a complaint).

Send the existing conditions

Address, intended use, whatever drawings exist, and photographs. Masterbuild will say whether the next step is a feasibility screen or a permit set.
