Why the firm exists

Most MEP problems that surface during permitting, construction, or closeout trace back to one of three things: code logic that was not followed through design, coordination gaps that were not caught on paper, or engineering judgment that never made it onto the drawings.

At a production shop the licensed engineer signs. Someone else runs the job. Questions travel through layers. Field issues come back as surprises. That model works at scale. It is the wrong model for a boutique client with a demanding scope, a tight permit schedule, or a high-finish project that cannot absorb a missed coordination.

Masterbuild is structured the other way. Osmany Portal, PE is the firm. Every scope is reviewed, every drawing set is checked, and every technical call is made by the same licensed engineer the client spoke with at intake.

Miami-based Professional Engineer (Florida PE 95945). FIU College of Engineering & Computing. Prior signed-and-sealed MEP work across commercial and high-end residential scopes in partnership with MEPTECH Solutions; current support for Roble Technologies energy-site verification; existing-building feasibility reporting with Existing Building LLC. Public-side plan-review experience as well as private-practice production — useful when the question is not only “what does the code say” but “what will this reviewer actually ask for.”

• Fifteen-plus years of MEP engineering judgment on commercial, high-end residential, and high-reliability scopes.

Insurance and accountability

Masterbuild maintains professional liability (errors and omissions) coverage and general liability insurance appropriate for sealed MEP work. Certificates with named additional insureds are issued on request once an engagement is active. Coverage limits and endorsements are confirmed during scope review for projects that require specific minimums.
