IMC 904 is only one sentence, but it establishes the entire approval path. The equipment has to be listed, labeled and installed within that listing.

904.1 General

Pellet fuel-burning appliances must be listed and labeled in accordance with ASTM E1509 and installed in accordance with the terms of the listing. The IMC does not provide generic installation dimensions in Section 904. Those criteria come from the listing and product documentation.

Field tip
